Cinnamon Tea Cake - To My Darling, Best Friend & Cousin

Occasion: What do you do when your sister-in-law asks for snacks in the evening?

Yes this is what I prefer to do - Bake a cake which she will love and ask me for the recipe whether she is gonna make it or not. Either ways I am ready to bake it for her anytime she asks for it.

Why Cinnamon?:  We both can't think of any flavours which could go well with tea/coffee. We have had days where we sat down with a nice warm mug full of cinnamon flavoured green tea and chat for hours about "Nothing". Can't think of days where I missed to sprinkle cinnamon powder in my coffee from Starbucks. What other reason one needs to bake this cake especially with an extremely simple recipe from favourite cookbook.

This is one of the most simple yet beautifully flavoured cake.  The recipe below is for those who loves to sit and chat over a huge cup of tea :)

-Cream 60 gm of butter with 1 tsp of vanilla essence.
-Gradually add 1/2 cup of castor sugar and 1 egg. Beat until light and fluffy.
-Stir in 1 cup of self-rising flour alternating with 1/2 cup of milk.
-Bake it at 180 degree for 25 mins.

Now the following ingredients is what makes the cake special

-Once the cake is baked take it out and brush it with 15 gm of butter.
-Powder 1 tsp of caster sugar and 1 stick of cinnamon and sprinkle it over the cake.

Now its ready to be server warm with a hot cup of tea and a good old friend.
